Script to log onto ILSonline web page.  This was developed

using ILSonline.com as an example.  If you are a PKOH.com

person, just replace ILSonline.com with PKOH.com.

 

Part 1 - First time logging into the ILSonline website.

  1. Dial into your Internet Service Provider.
  2. Open Internet Explorer.
  3. In the Address line, type http://www.ilsonline.com 
  4. Click on "Contact Us", then on "For Registered ILSonline E-Mail"
  5. OR use http://mail.ilsonline.com in place of steps 3 & 4 above
  6. The ILS-mail.ILSonline.com screen appears.

  7. On this screen, select "Other e-mail settings"
  8. The Authentication Information screen appears.

  9. In the box marked as "Your E-Mail Address:" enter your ILSonline E-Mail address in the following format:
  10. firstname.lastname@ILSonline.com

    example: jane.doe@ILSonline.com

  11. In the box marked "Mail Account/POP3 Password" enter your pre-set password "xxxxx" 
  12. Click on "Authenticate".
  13. The Account Management screen appears.

    Now that you have accessed your ILS account, changing your pre-set password to your personal password will be the next step.

  14. Click on "Change Mail Account/POP3 Password"
  15. Choose a password of at least six (6) characters long. Enter your NEW personal password in both fields provided. This form establishes your NEW password and is used to change your password in the future.
  16. Click on "Submit"

Part 2 – Accessing the ILSonline webmail

  1. To access the ILS-mail.ILSonline.com screen - In the Address line, type in:
  2. http:/www.ilsonline.com/

    Click on "Contact Us", then on "For Registered ILSonline E-Mail"

    Or type in:

    http://mail.ilsonline.com/

    The ILS-mail.ILSonline.com screen appears.

    Click the "Favorites" button on your browser, so you can return here without typing in the address.

  3. Click on "View/Send e-mail"
  4. The Software.com/WebEdge login screen appears.

  5. Enter your User Name as "lastname, first initial"
  6. Example: doej

  7. Enter your newly established Password and click "Enter"

Your Inbox screen appears next.

Part 3 – Change options.

  1. Click on "Options" to set your e-mail address to display correctly for those receiving your e-mail messages.
  2. The Options screen appears.

  3. In the E-Mail address field, type in your ILSonline email address in the following format:
  4. firstname.lastname@ILSonline.com

    example: jane.doe@ILSonline.com

  5. In the "Signature" field, you may type in a short phrase to personalize your messages. For example: ILS – world-wide resources, one of a kind solutions.
  6. Leave all the other fields at their defaulted settings. Click "OK" at the bottom of the page.
  7. The next screen shows "Options Modified. Click here to continue" at the top of the screen.

    Click on "Click here to continue"

  8. You have now completed the WebEdge Message Send Information Screen.

Part 4 – Sending e-mail

    1. first time users
  1. Click on "Compose".
  2. In the box labeled "To", type in
  3. cyn.koubeck@ILSonline.com

  4. In the box labeled "Subject", type in "test".
  5. In the large box, type in "this is a test", then click the "Send" button at the top or bottom of the page.
  6. You will receive a reply email if your message has been sent correctly. This is also a confirmation that you are accessing the ILSonline.com email account.

  1. Click on "Compose".
  2. In the box labeled "To", type in the email address of the person you are sending this message to.
  3. In the box labeled "Subject", type in your message.
  4. Click the "spell check" button below the message to check the spelling of the words in your message.
  5. When finished, click "send".

 

Part 5 – Retrieving e-mail

  1. Click on the person’s name in your Inbox.
  2. Read message.

  1. To forward this message to someone else, press the "Forward" button.
    1. Type in the person’s name who will be receiving this message.
    2. Press "send".
  1. To reply to the send of this message:
    1. Type in your comments.
    2. Press "send"
  1. To save this message, exit the Inbox.
  2. To delete this message
  1. Open the message
  2. Press the "delete" button located in the read message screen
  3. Or click in the little box to the left of the sender’s name to place a check mark and press the delete button located in the Inbox screen.

Part 6 – To add a sender’s address to your personal address book

  1. Click on the icon next to the sender’s email address. It looks like a little Rolodex card.
  2. The Add Address Book Entry" screen appears, and defaults to the email address as well as the sender’s name in the "Nickname" field. These two fields are required for adding a name to the address book.
  3. You may change the "Nickname" to the person’s full name, or leave the nickname alone, and fill in the remainder of the form with the person’s first name, last name, office phone number and home phone number.
  4. You may add additional information about this person by clicking the "Add More Information" button. Fill in as much information as needed. When finished, click "Save".

Part 7 – Adding attachments

  1. After composing your message, press the "browse" button below the message box.
  2. A dialog box appears, showing the contents of your C:\ drive.
  3. Find the folder where the file is stored and click Open on the dialog box.
  4. Click the "attach" button to the right of "Browse".
  5. Allow a few seconds for the file to be transferred from its location on your computer to the message.
  6. If the wrong file was "attached", click on the file name in the box to the right and click "remove". Repeat from step one to attach the correct file.
  7. Click "send" when ready.

Part 8 – Logout

  1. When you are finished reading, forwarding, replying or sending messages, and you need to leave the website, click on the "logout" button in the blue bar to the left. You will be brought back to the login screen.
